3rd gen... Good Deal?
Hey guys quick quistion. I found a 94 twin turbo rx7 for sale in town. The guy had it up at a shop for running rough problems. Never got it figured out. He said he would sell it to me for $4,500. Clear title and 90,000 mi. has afer market wheels and brakes. What do ya think? Jump on it? Thanks
yes, if you dont know what you are doing, then you should not touch it. personally, buy it and drop a 20b into that bitch. that guy is a moron for selling it that cheap when it is probably a chipped apex seal or something HAHA!!!

Bought it. Heres the deal on the car. The guy I bought it from DROVE it to the shop my buddy works at for repairs. That's how I found out about it. It sat up at the shop for well over six months. The guys their are like most mechanics and have never delt with these things before. It drove to the shop with lots of black smoke. I asked my buddy what was wrong with it and he said he never really looked into it. Didn't care. Well my buddy told me he towed it back to the guys house. So I went their and offered $4k and landed on $4,500. I do have knowledge on the rotarys, I've owed them in the past and have replaced a few engines on a few different cars. but hey, if anyone could give me a place to start looking that would be great!! Thanks see ya on the road.

Not a bad deal at all. Some interesting mods (wheels, headlights, nice tint job, etc.) and the worst thing is a blown engine possibly. Rotary Resurrection can set you up with a good engine for a nice price, probably less than $2K or so, and you'll have a nice car there!

Hey.. it runs! Spent a few hours on her today changing out the oil ( had a lot of gas in it) and put new plugs in. I removed the EGI fuse (like stated in another post) cranked away. You wouldn’t believe the amount of S$$$ that came out. Put it back together and it fired. Ran like crap for a few then cleared up. still has an issue in the injectors of some sort because after I shut it off, its now flooded again.
