Smile A 3rd Gen to Call My Own

I picked up my 1993 RX-7 Touring today. Red with tan leather interior. Pretty much all stock at this point.

I paid $15,500 for anyone who's wondering. It was originally sold in CA, and it moved to AZ two years ago. It hasn't had any overheating problems (at least that's what I have been told). 58K miles.

Moving up from a Civic HX, it's going to take a little time to get used to the power this thing has to offer. But I will relish learning how to handle it (it will be babied until it's cooler in Phoenix and I get some reliability mods taken care of).

I should have titled this post: Two Things I Never Thought My Wife Would Let Me Get...

Anyway, I'm including a couple of pictures of the car, and a picture of my entertainment center (I was blown away when she said yes to that, with the RX7 at least I had another car I could sell to cover the costs...). In case you are wondering, the TV is a 57" Sony HDTV and the speakers are on custom stands in their little cubby holes.

Sorry about the image quality, I need to get a digital camera, the video camera just isn't cutting it.

I will be talking with you all later.

Yes, the entertainment center was custom built to fit the components. The original built in entertainment center had very crappy hole sizes (useless) and no wire runs. Having it done over allowed me to wire everything the way I wanted. It was all built up and then drywalled (and then faux finished, but that's another story altogether). We made out very well selling our last houses (yes, houses, next door to each other, 2 and 3 stories, 110+ years old).

Thanks for the comments everyone. I have been reading like a fiend the past few weeks. Getting ready to install a water temp gauge and boost gauge this weekend.
