3rd to 4th am I an idiot?
3rd to 4th am I an idiot?
Am I the only moron that misses the 3rd to 4th shift? I seem to pull it into 2nd more times that I care to remember. I have a torque brace in there and it seems to have helped with the 2nd to 3rd/5th problem but I seem to always pull the shifter back into 2nd and I'm sure that can't be a great thing for the rest of the drivetrain.
It's never fast enough...

With my stock shifter I used to miss 2nd to 3rd all the time...then one day I decided to just do it slowly and get the feel...after a while I only missed about 15% of the time....I upgraded to the B&M shifter now I never miss.
Good luck and don't tare up that tranny.

well my definition of a stunna would be the guy that has the chair all the way back and reclined to its greatest position with one arm on the very top of the streering wheel and the other on his chin while slightly peaking above the window. wow, that was a run-on

Um, yeah, Hey thanks once again to the community of buttholes
I have a torque brace on there already. I don't miss 4th under normal driving just when I am trying to shift quickly. It may have something to do with the light weight shift **** I put on there a while back. The transition doesn't feel right anymore.
I was looking for perhaps a more constructive comment like the shift gate may need adjusting or something. The tranny was rebuilt four years ago and the 5th sync. replaced, I have a ACT clutch and a dang light weight shift ****. I pretty much sit in an upright position, no gangsta loc to the G ride.
I've had the car fo going on 5 1/2 years but I can't remember if it has always happened. The car is my 3rd down so I don't drive it all the time.

Didn't mean to rub you the wrong way....i only mentioned that because I read a thread awhile back about a 'stunna' in an Integra Type-R that overreved his engine shifting from 3rd into 2nd.
Basically, turned out that the dude was drivin' pimp-style which screwed up his shifting.
Anyway....I guess a weighted shift **** may help...
Also look at your motor mounts and your PPF.

I miss 3rd/4th a lot on my 240 after I've been driving my FD constantly for a couple weeks. The position in which the gears are laid out is different in the cars. Always takes me a couple days of driving it to get reacquainted to the few mm difference.
