3mm redline?
hey guys, my new motor is a 3mm streetport with all the oil mods etc. I hear that the 3mm seals 'float' at a lower RPM then the 2mm, and I was wondering if I would still be able to drive it to 8k RPM or would it float too much to really be of any use. also can someone define what floating is exactly?

If the 3mm were installed correctly they won't float or chatter at all.
My understanding about redlin eis that it is pointless to raise it, although you can, it won't make you much more power at all.

yo should be shifting at about 72-7300 rpms anyway, there is a power dropoff anywhere past there and its been dyno proven. its the adrenalin thats telling you that your going faster when u take it to 8k.
