3k Hesitation Anomaly

I have the dreaded 3k hesitation on my car BUT i managed to almost totaly get rid of it, bear in mind my hesitation was kinda bad, Today i drove to work with my normal hesitation and replaced the plugs for ngk 9's and it improved a little.
I have in my car a hks fcon piggyback fule computer and a gcc to change the mix all through the rev range, so on my way home i decide to lean out the 3k to 4k rev range just one click and it improves, i then continue to lean out by 1 more and hey presto its allmost gone.
I know leaning the mixture off is dangerous so its now back to normal after only 30 mins of driving.

Just wonderd peoples views on this and if more investigation is required, or am i pis*ing up the wrong tree.

Steve

leaning mixtures are only dangerous under heavy load...3k hes for me was always part throttle.

I have no idea what 1 click means as far as AFR wise...check it with a WB if all is good, and if it makes the car more drive-able, hell go for it.

iv no idea what 1 click means either, i originally perchased it to tune but that was before i learned about rotaries since then its always been set to standard on the gcc but richend (<<is that a real word ?) the mixture up in the fcon to cope with my mods.

this is a link to a gcc it the one with the 6 little adjusters on

My _serious_ 3k hesitation was completely solved by improved ground (years before I installed the PFC)

One of the biggest things that improved mine was putting the ground strap that runs from the chasis to the maincat/cat back bolt.

One little strap isn't going to solve all your ground problems.

I wasn't clear. Earlier I said that I completely solved a serious 3k hestitation symptom with appropriate ground improvement. One ground strap won't do it. You have to make sure you've got the cat ground, an extra battery to body ground cable, and at least two engine block ground improvements. Then, if your sensors are properly grounded you should be in much much better shape. My experience and the way I went about solving my symptoms proved to me that my hesitation was a ground issue.

Ah my bad for not refering to your previous post, appologies.

I have everything grounded 8 ground straps in all just not 1 on the cat but then again i dont have a cat just 2 decat pipes, guess ill try grounding them as well and hopefully keep my 3k hesitation at bay.
