350-400mghg vac,am i fucked?

started my fd a couple days ago. its been in storage for vinter but i took it out to clean it a bit and to run the engine warm, started fine butt after it got hot the idle got a little strange. dropped to 500 and was a little rough... all fine when i revved it to hold 1000rpm,,, an the vac seemes low, reading about 400 on the powerfc.

but here is the thing,,, if i have lost an apex, shouldnt it be a bitch to start?
because it isnt.. starts as easy as allways...

please can someone tell me whats happening(fearing the worst)

400 inches of mercury at that low of a RPM (500) isn't bad, the motor shouldn't be idiling at 500 RPMs though...

Breathe friend. Remember you battery is mad weak if you haven't been charging it.

Could be many things. Only advice I can give u is take the battery out of your car. And never start it until summer. When summer comes before starting it change all fluids and never boost on the tank of gas.

Motor is fine. You may need a spark plug change. Drive the car and see if it goes away.

so even after it's warmed up, it's still at 500 rpms on the Power FC? What's the battery voltage then? Ported motor?

stock engine....
seemes to be all fine today,,, the battery is resently recharged.
here are some vac readings:514mmhg at 2250 497 at 1250 490 at 1200. the idle doesnt seeme to want to drop below 1000rpm today,,, this is readings from the powerfc the tach shows lower numbers,, watertemp during readings are 81-85celcius

but the car acted really strange last time,, could it just have been bad gas? with a little water in it.. the tank was almos emty when i set it for storage and the temps wary from 10above freezing to 30below here during vinter

when its time to drive it i will change the fuelfilter, drain the tank and put a fresh tank of 98octane in it,,,,
glad if the engine will last a nother season before i rebuild it.

^^storing it with an empty tank could have done it.

I wouldnt be so pessimistic. Your motor may last 5 more seasons .

Yeah that and a dead/discharged battery. Dont freak out soo fast when something like that goes wrong. Im still learning that lol. Last time my car started up funny i immediately thought it was a blown engine. Well i found out the trailing plug wire was barely on the plug on the rear rotor and i guess it wasnt firing the way it should. So i changed the plugs and made sure all 4 wires were on fully and car ran like it was new again

I would say you've blown your motor, but I don't want you to **** in your pants while you're at the computer

Sounds like it was just a weird one time issue. Do like Rich said in the spring and you hopefully won't have any problems.
