3-Bar Map Sensor Question...

I have upgarded my engine management system to the Apexi Power-FC with the Datalogit, now my question is, do I need the 3-bar map sensor to attain my wanted numbers. I now have a very large street ported motor, full Greddy T-78 turbo kit, 550cc primaries, 1600cc secondaries, RX-7 store extreme fuel system (fuel rails and such), Denso Fuel pump (TT Supra), 3-inch Greddy DP>Pettit resonated midpipe>HKS Hi-Power cat-back. I am on the list for the Tuning session at Pettit racing on the 30th with Steve Kan and am looking to get a good drivable tune in the lower 400 range. Nothing too crazy, something that will run well without straining the engine too much. Pleses let me know about the 3-bar, if it is needed or not, slightly important.

Thanks Lassen118

Not needed until you turn the boost up. People usually say you need it anywhere after 17psi. Banzai Racing sells one with an adaptor to plug it in.

if you're running a T-78, yes you should get a 3 bar map sensor and get the most out of Steve's tuning as possible. You can always lower your boost setting after the tune.
