3,000 hesitation testing.
I have the 3k hesitation mostly when electrical loads are applied, lights, cooling fans stereo etc. I have checked the threads and have extra grounds, checked the battery, tested the injectors flow, etc but still have it only with extra electrical loads.
I have decided to concentrate on the injector wiring. I am replacing the injector ground circuits with 14 gage wire as well as installing a relay triggered by the main relay to power the four injectors alone and will run the feed directly from the battery. I will also install larger power feeds to the ecu where needed. I also see one ground in the ECU which does not have continuity to the ECU case and I will keep an eye on its voltage drop. I have added an extra 9 gage wire from the alternator to the battery and have grounded the alternator with a 9 gage strap to the middle of the engine and grounds are tied in to the battery directly. I don't want a power fc and will get to the bottom of this problem and pass it on. There is a fix somewhere and it's time has come.

No ones quite sure if the 3k hesitation is directly related to grounding. Grounding certainly has an affect, but the only sure-fire fix I know of is to get a PFC. And from the sound of it you're grounds have to be good, so thats probably not the issue in your case.

My grounds are OK and I only notice the problem warmed up at least not cold along with the electrical system powering something extra, lights, fans for the most part. I have noticed the small gage wiring to the negative side of the injectors and see signs of heating. Not melting just weathered by heat. I did see a few times sparks coming from the injector connector at the front primary injector connector. I had the lights off and was looking for something leaking electrically. I have tried using two battery's (12volt, loads of amps) but it didn't do a thing. If I drive in daylight and the fan does not come on it runs fine not perfect but well. The second the lights and fan come on it bucks and is uneven between 22K and 32K or so. Once the secondaries kick in theres no problem. The drivers in the ecu could be damaged I can't tell. I will check the amperage draw and see if it changes abnormally at any time. I will find the problem because I have loads of time to ponder. The electrical system in general with regards to the fuel injection system works much better with low electrical loads. My idle is better with lower loads as well. John
