Question 2mm vs. 3mm

I was just looking at ZeroBanger's thread about streetporting. I noticed that many people said stick with the 2mm seal. What is the difference between the two? Many high horse power rx7 i've seen has 3mm but in the thread u'all talked like it didn't really make a difference. Someone stated that they destroy anything they hit b/c they are bigger. I thought the 3mm where better but now i don't know.
any explaination would be helpful thanks

The 3mm are more for just being able to handle more boost, and having the peace of mind that your 3mm seals will probably allow the engine to last longer, "destroy anthing they hit" I think he meant if you were to blow an apex seal the 3mm seals would fly out your turbo's and completely destroy them where the 2mm might just fly through with little damage because they would be smaller pieces...
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...
