2005 rx7 revealed, must buy rx8

Hola rotary family,

news flash! pickup road & track sept.2002 issue to see new prototype design for 4th gen 7. Looks like a audi tt and rx8 hybrid. The catch is we gotta get all of our peoples to buy the rx8's for the 7 to truly return.

rotarypwrd, Tomas

I hope the 4th gen rx7 will look much better than that! When does the rx8 go on sale?

I'am sure it will go well. Every month it seems to get more promising to have a good debut. Let's hope so and if I had the money I'd definetly throw some cash down on a RX-8.

I highly doubt that is an official sketch from mazda. The mags will hire designers to make some guesses about what the new cars will look like to generate hype. I expect the new 7 to look similar to the rx8 but I doubt it will be a 2 door rx8 like that pic shows.

i have seen the prototype and im not impressed either, i dont like what they did with the rx8 well its nice but cxould be better and the rx7 is taking on too much or the rx8's modern fattness. either way i think the 5th gen supra got the better half of the modernization update

From the rear its not bad looking, the front isn't the greatest though. I'd like to see some interior pics.

I like 3rd gen the most anyway!

However, i don't understand why new car coming out starting to get less beautiful. Most cars looks like UFO or something! Hate that!

Think about it RX8's look could not be compared to any of the seven.
SA, FC, FD, are so damn classic and beautiful!!!

From: Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full.
I guess lightning doesn't strike twice. IMHO, and I would bet a lot of you here would agree with me, the 3rd-gen. RX-7 is hands-down one of the most beautiful designs to be produced by ANY manufacturer (including exotics), EVER. It's not everyday that you see a near ten-year-old car driving down the street and think that it STILL looks much better than anything new in the dealers' showrooms. Truly a classic.

The proposed design for the 4th-gen. Hmmm....ok. It does nothing for me. Looks rather vanilla-ish. Not very exciting. To be perfectly honest, I'm not real excited about many of the cars coming down the pipeline. The next Supra looks like absolute ***.

This news flash is a month old, and it's obvious that is a painting of an Rx-8 changed to have 2 doors. In fact, it's an identical pose/angle to one of the Rx-8 press release pics.

Road and Track simply wanted to include Mazda in this section even though they don't know any more than you or I about what the new Rx-7 will look like. :P

Yes, the Japanese mag's rendention looks 100% better. Neither are close to what it will eventually look like. Assuming there is one...
