2004 thanks - who helped you?

Just felt I should say thanks to a few folks, whom I found of particular help and interest during 2004.

Mahjik, BigIslandSevens, DamonB, adam_c, RTS3GEN, DaveW, damian, ebb, turbojeff, dgeesaman, dcfc3s, maxcooper, GoodfellaFD3S, oakridgerx7, gfelber, alberto_mg, rynberg, Fritz Flynn, dis1, WaLieN, rzograbian

Names listed in no particular order, with the exception of Mahjik who deserves to be first! Other names I'm sure have been equally helpful and have been omitted unintentionally, disclaimer blah blah.

You all make this a fantastic forum, and I sincerely appreciate all of your help!!! Have a safe and fun 2005!

All great guys!

damian is at the top of my list, his threads are always very helpful with lots of pics, plus he is willing to share his ideas without a profit. Thanks!

I'll chime in too.
I managed to do the hose job, and some diagnostic jobs, with help from all the online folks & resources.

And...is there a theme to the avatars?

Wow! Thanks for the mention..glad someone could learn from my frustration and failures. Gotta crack a few eggs to make an omlette a old engine performance teacher once told me.

i am glad to have a community that cares enough to help eachother out when needed. These cars can make you want to cry sometimes but when they work rite it is all forgotten in one sweep of the tach

In addition to all those, Clayne, rotorbrain, a3dcadman, mitch529 (might have got those numbers mixed up), RonKMiller and everyone else who has posted photos or experiences on this board, even the failures.

Special mentions:

Mahjik, he knows a lot and answers all kinds of pesky suggestions that I throw at him.

DamonB, he knows a lot and shares a lot of info, and doesn't seem to be annoyed by a lot of the dumb questions around here.

Jimlab, he knows a lot and makes fun of the people who ask dumb questions. Tech advice and comic relief from the same source.

I think it was Zerobanger, if not I apoligize.

My steering wheel was going off in weird directions and I had no idea why. He told me that it was likely because a bolt came off that was holding the p/s to the subframe, and he was right on. Saved me probably hours of trying to just find the problem. Instead it took me 5 minutes to replace the bolt.

I'd like to thank just about everyone here really, but I think i've gotten the most help and insight from DamonB, Howard Coleman, and Mahjik since I got my car in May. I've also gotten tons of help from the Rx7 email list, so my thanks goes out to all those members too if they're lurking here

Happy New Year all.

This forum ROCKS! I love the fact that when something is up with my car, I can always just do a quick search and find the answer... because somebody has dealt with the issue before. That's one benefit to owning a "12" year old car.

Thanks everybody!

^Couldn't have said it better. My list seems to include just about everyone here. And special thanks to ISUposs, for some hands-on help last year.

this is a great thread.

there isn't (hardly) a day that goes by that i don't learn something from somebody. during the 22 seasons that i raced scca nats i made it a point to talk to everyone at the track. even the last few years where i was generally up front. my crew chief asked me why i was talking to someone gridded so far back and i told him that everyone ( that's Everyone) knows something i don't know and i wanted to find out what it was. that applies to every person on this board.

this particular forum is a huge asset to our community. i learned alot from all the participants contributions last year and a big THANK YOU ALL for your contributions and best wishes for the new year.

let's keep moving the FD forward. i firmly believe that properly modded the FD is the greatest mass produced sportscar ever built.

howard coleman
