i have a apexi intake and a greddy evo exhaust, and my primary turbo always boosts up to 12.5-13 lbs and secondary always to 9.5-10 why is one boosting that much higher than the other?
second
since i had a new clutch put in i always get wheel hop and at high rpm in 1st and 2nd i hear a rattle/rubbing noise comming from the tranny area. it also happend around hard turns ,could this be a tranny mount or something else???

thanks for the help

If your primary is hitting 12.5 to 13lbs, thats not a good thing. You're running dangerously lean up there, really risking blowing your motor. This is rather common with just an intake and exhaust, and there are tons of threads on this. Search for them.

Apex power fc-1200 though-or a piggyback might work, never tried it though.

What you are seeing is know as boost spikes. A lot of people experience them after upgrading their intake to an open air intake. That is easily remedied with a boost controller.

Yes, upgrading the ECU will help as well, but seeing as you are just learning about the car; stick with the boost controller for now. The boost controller (if properly installed) will stop the spikes.

Look at the Greddy Profec-B: http://66.216.67.51/product.asp?0=208&1=243&3=245

From what ive heard...Could be the altitude maybe. Ive heard of some problems with intakes on stock ecu's. Not sure if you have a mid-pipe/downpipe? Or it could just be that you own an RX-7.

Basically, it seems to be that everyones car is different. I seriously cant believe sometimes that some cars are the same. They all have little unexplainable problems that your neighbor with the same **** will never experience.

well if u dont wanna fork out the cash for the PFC then u could simply do boost controller but if ur planning on modding ur car any further you might as well save for the power fc because it'll allow for more tuning later on.
just my .02$. good luck
