1st time 7 owner...need a little help

I just recently bought a 7, so here I am! I have always been a Mazda fan (used drive a 323 GTR)..anyways I need a little help
So here is my problem....when letting go of the gas pedal (mostly in lower rpm, around 2000) I hear a pop noise out of the exhaust(misfire). is this as I think a bad spark plug or potentially something else?

Thank you!

P.S.

Some pics of the car...and yes I am in Japan

Some "pops" out of the exhaust on decceleration is quite normal on these cars (especially modified ones) but it shouldn't be too excessive. On programmable ECU's, most of them have a decceleration setting where you can adjust the fuel at that point to limit it.

However, it would still be a good idea to do the common maintenance items on the car (which may decrease the frequency of the popping) since you just got the car:

1. Change spark plugs
2. Change oil and filter
3. Change air filter
4. Change fuel filter
5. Coolant flush

Mahjik said most of it. I put all new wireing harness in my car, a little more pricey then the above statement but it cleared up my low end poping about (2500rpm) and made a huge difference at 3k transition and idle. My car does have 140k miles on it though.

Do you have upgraded ECU or full exhaust?? If so, I say its pretty normal and shouldn't worry about it too much. Also, what year is your car?? Any of the exhaust components been replaced or stock??
