1st gear switch?

When I slow down to make a turn or something and try to go into 1st it wont go into gear. I have to basically come to a complete stop or go into second and when I go into second it bogs so I know that its not too fast for first so what I am wondering is why the hell wont it let me go into 1st?

How can I fix this?

are you sure 1st is required for those turns? unless you are in a crowded parking lot, i dont see how that is possible considering how strong the low end in the fd is.

also, if you really do need to get into first you could try rev matching.

yep, gotta get synchros spun up first.. going into first around a turn is dumb.. great way to mess up axles, dif, tranny ect. 2nd is a great powergear in godzilla once you figure out how to drive it.

well its like when I am going up to a redlight and I have come to almost a complete stop and then the light changes so I start going and if Im in second it bogs and it wont let me go down into first.

I will def try rev matching tho.

Learn to drive better. Give it a little clutch and 2nd won't bog.

You should only be in first if you are stopped.
