1st --> 2nd shift problem, no grinding

no matter if it's cold or warm, my 1st to 2nd shift has a problem. if i slowly and carefully shift around 3-4k rpm then everything is ok. try shifting at 6k rpm a little quicker and it doesn't like to go straight down, it almost likes to go the right a little then back to left then down into second. it's not a typcal grinding, and it doesn't make and grinding noises. after that all gears and good. the 3rd -- 2nd shift is also good. curious what the problem is. i know the fds don't have the smoothness shifting..is it just my technique when i shift at higher rpms and a little faster?

ttb - I experience something similar but never really analyzed whether it happens only in cold or warm weather, etc. And, it really hasn't bothered me too much...

With that being said I find that if I am more careful with fully depressing the clutch AND shifting a bit more slowly into 2nd there is no sound/grinding.

Not a solution just a comment!

yea, i mean it's not that bad...basically i have to be more careful during the 1st-->2nd shift and i basically can't stop light race (but i dont race so it doesn't really matter). just curious if it's some part of the transmission/gears that i need to fix. so for me fun starts from a roll :-)
