19mpg after getting my injectors serviced!

Sent the FI out to RCEng to get serviced from my 103k FD. Car was getting between 12-14mpg just prior to getting the injectors serviced (about 1/2 highway - 1/2 in traffic driving). On top of that, the engine's running awesome! Smooth, responsive, idles perfectly, and no nasty backfiring on deceleration. If anybodies still got the original injectors, that have never been serviced, in your car, I'd highly recommend getting them professionally serviced.

RC charges about $25 per injector. I had mine serviced there recently, too. They were realy dirty! My mileage went from 12-13mpg to 19-21 mpg. It's something that will pay for itself pretty quickly.

$28 per injector + you pay shipping both there and back. I think its a tad more expensive because they're side feed injectors. Not too bad considering Marren wanted an extra $10 per injector ($35 each) because they said side feeds were a pain in the a**. I sent mine out via USPS Priority and back via UPS 2nd day service (they charged me $12). So total cost was about $128 or so.

Removing them is a pain in the ***, but definitely a wise thing to do when you're doing a hose job since you'll be in that area anyway. (hint hint, adam )

You know I'm trying to put that off as long as possible. Looks like the injector cleaning may have to wait

I have been running BG44K once a year to keep them clean.

If you're gonna attack the rats nest (silicone vacuum hose job), definitely consider doing the FI also. I did the whole sha-bang. The solenoid rack and ACV needs to come out in order to get to the secondaries. Any on the report I got back from RCEng, one of my secondaries were leaking... Work isn't too hard, just tedious. Lots of stuff to get off the engine or out of the way in order to get down to the fuel rails.
