1999+ red seats?
hey, i was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the red seats from the 1999+ model years. it looks like they come on the RZ models?? maybe the RS? im NOT talking about the recaro seats from the spirit R.... just the regular FD seats that are in red.
reason being, is they look to be a brighter shade of red than the red ones available in the US, and id like to attempt to locate a set from japan. problem is, im not sure who to talk to about used parts from japan anymore as jt-imports is gone. anyway if anyone has any pictures of the seats, or contact info for someone that sells used FD parts from japan please let me know. thanks, heath

heres one straight outta a Spirit-R. As for knowing if they are brighter....im not sure. They definately are different from the US red interior but without seeing them in person its hard to tell from a picture (some look brighter, some look darker). In any case you can expect to pay a pretty penny for them.
Unless you have money to burn, or junkyard contacts in Japan id say it would eb easier to by new leather covers in the shade you want.

Spirit R seat
there are three variations of spirit r's. the pictures above is "b" or "c" kind of like touring and base models. the "a" is like the R1 or R2 models, which has Recaro seats.

LIke TpcPlaya said, unless you have tons and tons of money, it'd probably be a lot cheaper just to have the seats re-upholstered. Even though it would be cool to have Spirit R seats, locating them would be a PITA and it'd just be easier to have them re-done.
Good luck on a decision and/or search.
