If I keep this one, it will probably stay rotary even if it lets go. From an engineering standpoint, they are pretty impressive and thats cool to me.

My swapped FC will hold me over. Its in revamp mode right now though.
Ah very rare you see interest in those 2 cars.

People on the other forum are true hardcore v8 drag guys. Just a select few that appreciate turns and light weight cars etc.

So its cool you actually have an fd with the intention of keeping it rotary rather than just swapping in the ls. Although having an ls fd is something I have to experience. I just can't see doing the swap to my current fd as of yet.

Any plans for your fd?

Looks like a great buy to me, esp. if the mileage really is that low.

Congrats!

I like all sorts of cars. I like owning multiple kinds more than one type in itself. In the last year Ive had a 1991 mr2 with a jdm swap, a 1997 bmw 540i Dinan and M5 goodies, a 2004 honda accord bone stock (traded the bmw for this) and then bought this fd. Ive also enjoyed a few 3rd gen camaros, fox bodies, a 1970 chevelle abc and 6-71 blower, 1972 nova, my current FC as well as a 1990 base 5spd....all within 3 years.

Yea every forum has its pros and cons. I will have a swapped FD one day but this one is too nice to mod at all. Maybe even too nice to keep.

It has the original tires on it manufactured in the 22nd week of 1992...

I just ordered some capacitors to repair the odo reading so we will find out the true number this weekend hopefully!

Welcome to the CYM Club

As a fellow CYM owner I thought you may be interested in the CYM mileage / owner thread.

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-gen-general-discussion-322/lowest-mileage-cym-90-miles-until-10k-967049/

You can add your car to the list. If you happened to have purchased it from one of those already on the list, please update to show transfer of ownership.

I can also vouch for Ray Crowe for parts. Some of the items you are looking for are not very expensive new. So if the box of parts you pick up doesn't have what you need, check with Ray before you buy used so you have pricing on used parts in mind.

Ok will do. I should have the mileage figured out this weekend assuming my capacitors come in from digikey....ordered all of them for $2.75....Mazda wanted $600
HA!

What the odo reads and what the mileage actually is are not the same. The odometer stops counting when it stops working. Atleast mine did. Nice clean car either way.

Great looking CYM! IMO, some nice wheels with a lower stance is all that's really needed to make the car look and perform better than it does now
