1993 CYM R1...New Purchase

I was ready to make a trip to atlanta this weekend to pic up a modded fd. The plans fell through and I was deeply disappointed. I guess things worked out for the better as I picked this up this morning. I saw it saturday night and had to have it. Anyways, there wont be much modding going on however, I do need to find a few interior pieces to put it back to 100%

Here are a few pics I snapped after checking fluids and starting to wipe down the engine bay.
Pulled it in to check fluids and such. Started to wipe down the engine bay as well. Its missing a few interior pieces that I need to track down as well as finish fitting the bumper.

I REALLY enjoy driving it.

Now for the missing pieces. As far as the engine bay the only thing I can tell thats missing is the radiator cover and the plastic headlight surrounds.

Ill start with the headliner...

I need both black sunvisors and the dome light

I need both these plastic pieces on BOTH doors

I need the door latch plastic surround on BOTH sides.

I also need the rubber molding that goes around the passenger door as well as the door sil plate.

Also some miscellaneous fasteners for the inner fender liners, R1 front lip, and bumper bolts.

I think that is all for now

Let the hunt begin!

I had to buy that door triangle piece too. mine kept falling out.

I got it from onlinemazdaparts.com, they said it may be NLA, but when i ordered it they were still able to get it for me.

Was it in a minor front end accident? Looks like it's missing the radiator overflow tank too, as well as minor plastics in the front end.

How much was it?

The car was repainted and the guy didnt put all the parts back on it. I just learned he has a box of stuff that I didn't pick up from him. Hopefully it will have the missing stuff.

What I paid for it doesn't really matter but here's something that does.

The odometer doesnt display anything (working on this as we speak), but I bought the car anyways because it was really nice and looked to be well taken care of.

I pulled the AutoCheck and Carfax on it today...The last recorded mileage was 975 miles in 2008

No thats not a typo. I assume it has around 3k miles....maybe.

Not to rain on your parade, the car looks great! But, the wear on the interior looks like the car has way more than 3k miles... I have two CYMs, both with just under 50k miles and the interiors and carpets appear to be in better shape than yours. Also, why was the car repainted?

No matter what the mileage, the car looks great. Mod it tastefully and enjoy it! Don't **** it up with some ugly body kit haha

Haha thanks! Same SN as here. F8L GTO. I dont get on there much though.

If I keep this one, it will probably stay rotary even if it lets go. From an engineering standpoint, they are pretty impressive and thats cool to me.

My swapped FC will hold me over. Its in revamp mode right now though.

not sure if he still has that racing beat intake piece, but if not, make sure to cover that part in front of the i/c.. dont want air being directed out of the i/c and causing trouble...

This may be a long shot but it appears to have the original tires.....

The stamp on the sidewall is "222" which is 22nd week of 92....correct?

great find! wish mine looked like that when I got it.

Just curious though. If the mileage is so low, why was it repainted?
