Exclamation 1993 - 1995 RX-7 Parts Manual Error

Long story, but here is the bottom line:

Unknown to your friendly Mazda Parts Dept, there is (at least) one error in the parts manuals for the 1993 - 1995 RX-7.

On this website, Section 1380-2 (fiche page: I-J5, pdf file page: 44 of 116) of all three manuals, on the right-hand page showing part numbers and part descriptions, is this:

*********
* 13-890 *
*********
NF01-13-890 (Illust. No. 1)
N3A1-13-890 (Illust. No. 2)

It should be changed to this:

*********
* 13-890 *
*********
N3A1-13-890 (Illust. No. 1)
NF01-13-890 (Illust. No. 2)

You will discover this is true if you attempt to buy either an OEM check valve for the vacuum line connected between the charcoal canister purge valve and the intake manifold, or an OEM PCV valve. You will in both cases receive the "other," wrong part.

I suppose I should follow up on this message. It turns out that a knowledgeable parts guy did get the correct correlation between the parts manual illustration and the part number, by using a separate parts list (not the original 1993 - 1995 parts manual parts list) on his dealer's computer. But the online archives, which are copies of the original manuals, are wrong as described above.
