hmmm, i'm not sure anyone knows the answer to that question.

well here's the info i've gathered from the past 6 months on this forum...

the stock thermostat is the main 180 degree thermostat everyone's talking about. However, it's not a true 180°F thermostat because accroding to the mazda manual, it fully opens at 203°F. What i've been looking for is a thermostat that fully opens at 180° So far, no luck. Anyway, the main reason people replace their thermostat with just another stock one is because thermostats tend to lose "performace" overtime. They might not open all the way or become clogged etc. Just replace it so you don't develop any problems with your coolant flow.

Either your local mazda parts department can help you or you could try www.rx-7.com The thermostat is the same from both. The only difference is an inflated price from the parts department versus the shipping charge from rx-7.com you pick...

piece :p out

WHere can I get the 192 thermostat, my car won't warm up with the 180F. Fully open at 180F? what si the point in that, loss of power and bad gas mileage and undue wear on the engine.?
