183,600 k good for buy?

I found an Fd for 7k with 183,600 miles on it. It had a rebuilt at 100,000 k but besides that it is just stock. It is a base 7 no packages. Should I go for it or hold out?

...it depends. How many miles does it have? What is the exterior/interior condition? How is the compression? How many miles are on the turbos?

183,600 miles on it. Haven't really checked it out yet. But from the pictures I have seen I don't see no visible big damages.

if you don't mind me asking how much do they want for it? Any of the suspension been replaced? There could be alot of little stuff... you would also need to hook up a boost gauge and see what it is reading along w/ what the boost pattern is.

You are likely going to have to rebuild the engine, replace the turbos, replace the suspension bushings, cooling system, alternator, seats, etc. (Assuming these things haven't been recently replaced.)

If the paint is in good shape, it's probably worth it if the car has been well maintained. If the paint isn't good, pass it up. At that point, it will be a good track car or mechanic's project.

I'll see I doubt everything needs to be replaced since he said the car is still able to run.

theres a difference betwen good running and almost all functional and 'still able to run'. its serious millage for an fd, u'd better find a blown engine fd with 2/3 less millage for that price.

I knew someone with a FD with 138,00 on the original motor and it look really nice! So its all a matter of how it was taken care of, yet my FD had 2 motor before 70,000. YOu just really need to check it out in person!

It is on Ebay.

It'll need a new motor soon. It is all on how it is taken care of. It could have 183K hwy miles and that is no biggie. It could have 100K 18yr old driver miles, that is a big problem...
