When I saw the picture, my jaw dropped. Well I'm glad to hear that no one was injured, and my condolences go out to the owners. :-(

oh no, what a tragic end for so many RX7 owners! especially so many cars that were not just stock but highly modded and really special for their owners. my heart goes out to each and every one of you who lost a car in that fire. I hope you all well in the dealings with insurance companies and moving on to a new car to play with. and for someone to lose their business, that has to be very difficullt to deal with, my sincere hope that Seth can get back on his feet and return to doing the work he loves to do.

speechless about the pics, thats just incredible.

Sorry for everyones loss but keep your heads up. The solution you're looking for can't be found on the ground.

As for Seth, I've never met you but I know we share the same bond for these cars. You've taken it to the level of owning and operationg a successful and upstanding shop. I'm in the process of negotiations to get funding to get my shop open by the end of summer.

Let us know what you need. Atleast I'll do what I can if no one else does.

Holy shitmoley... I can't really say how much I am so sorry to see all and everyone's love and joy in that garage. I read this thread just the other day, but seeing that pic today is just reading one hundred negative adjectives. Like people have mentioned, glad no one was hurt, cars are replaceable one way or another. Just stay on top of your insurance claims and hope you all make a RX-7 comeback soon.

Ah, what a sigh of relief. That other thread became a monster...

To ALL in support: Thank you for the sympathy and heartfelt thoughts on behalf of all the owners who lost their rides with this terrible tragedy.

JonesMechanical:
Thanks for backing me up on the other thread. Even more thanks for backing up our good friend Seth. And of course, my deepest condolences on your 7.

Meiogirl and Speed7:
My deepest condolences on your losses as well. Thanks for the compliment on my car. The red FC with all the HKS stuff. Most likely one of the two that was in the picture with the 2 FCs... I appreciate the fact that you noticed my car among all the FDs in the shop. My loss, no matter what the difference we had spent literally and figuratively, is as equal as yours and others in the sense that we all loved our rides. Of course, it all pales in comparison to what Seth has lost...

Seth, if you read this post, let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Eric and Big James wish you well too. You are still our rotary master guru.

I lost my first FD to car fire so I know how you guys feel
and I just wanted to say that I'm extremely sorry for every one that lost their rides but more so for Seth. I had heard great things about him and I hope he opens up another shop. If not, then the Rx community took a double hit. With the loss of some great cars and loss of a great shop.

this is easily the worst news i have read involving RX-7's in my 2 years of fd ownership...so sorry for all that is lost and i hope all involved get back on track ok :-)

Was it an old building? surely if it was, it should of been checked over by a qualified electrician under the regulations law??

im an insurance agent, it depend wut his garage keepers limits were, that is the insurance that would take care of your car. if he has 500k which is pretty low, than he will get that limit, nothing over. hopefully he has good limits though and everything will get paid out, hope you kept your reciepts.

sorry for the losses.

Angry Where is Seth?

Seth had my RX-7 when the fire broke out. He called be afterword and said he could still repair it - only the engine was damaged, the body was in the lot. However, he is no longer at any of the telephone numbers he gave me. They have all been disconnected. He has my RX-7 Turbo and I can’t find him. He has had it for over nine months.

Anyone know how to get a hold of him?

If so, please call Bob at 619-233-7770, or let me know out here.
