15 amp fuse keeps blowing! Help!!

Well another electrical gremlin has struck. Drove the car and about 10 miles down the road my engine fuse inside the car( by clutch pedal) blew. Put another one in and got 1/2 way home and blew another. Now I am stuck at the gas station. Keeps blowing them as soon as i stick one in and put the key to start. Obviously a hot wire problem. Any suggestions as to where to look? I got the DSM and are currently looking at the 12V side but hoping for some helpful leads. Thanks Garret

He probably left the car and posted this here. Hey Garrett, I wonder if you can temporarily run a bigger fuse or put in a wire on both ends, so no fuse is there to short out and get the car home.

never put a higher rated fuse 20 amp, in a spot where a 10 amp is blowing. all you will do is allow the short to get even hotter and melt the wiring causing a cluster F**K. pull the diagram up and see what is on the circuit....

That's my question. What is the fuse labeled for I can look it up on the wiring diagram. If you over fuse you'll find the short or cause a fire if the insulation gets hot enough, or short out other circuicts next to that wire. You have a wire pinched to ground or rubbed through insulation to ground. Jack

The fuse is the "engine" requires 15 amp fuse.. By clutch pedal. I have begun to trace the hot side but have a long way to go.......
