13b Cosmo engine??

Hi,
I recently blew my motor on my 93 RX7 5spd. I found a 13b Cosmo engine from Japan in which the seller says the short block is the exact same thing as my car.
From my understanding is the cosmos only came with automatics and so can i use the cosmo short block to replace mine??
Any advice would be appreciated.

You can use your existing end plates on the 13B-re shortblock and it will bolt right in. Problem with that is that you'll need the engine rebuilt(of course) as well as the upper/lower cosmo intakes. If you use the cosmo throttle body, I believe you will need to get an FC throttle cable since the cosmo one will face the firewall.

i guess the cosmo engine is not the way to. I thought that the short block would be a basic swap and i could use my existing UIM and LIM. thanks for the info
