1 less FD on the road

One week ago my cousin picked up a 93 RX7 with 33k on the ticker. An hour after he got it he called me up to tell me about his new toy, excited as well I hopped in my car and headed to his house.

The moment I saw it I fell in love with it. Flawless red paint, perfect leather ect. Then he took me on a ride. My heart sank as he floored it, and I heard that first turbo spool, and it twas good. He then pulled into a parking lot, and told me to hop in the drivers seat. I drive it around for about half an hour playing with it.

When I got back to his house we talked a bit more, and I had to leave. I left knowing that one day I would have a 3rd gen as nice as his.

Got a call not more than a half an hour ago. Totalled. He said he was headed home from work last night when he heard a pop (blowout he assumes), then the front of the car dropped. He went spinning into a ditch, and now "every panel is fucked"

I feel aweful for him, as that car meant a lot to him

just letting you guys know, that there is 1 less low milage FD out there

man it always scares me to think what would happen if a tire blew especially if traveling at freeway speeds. it's really difficult to keep it in a straight line even if you tried and things only get worse when you hit the brakes with a blow tire

1.5 less FDs' on the road

Not trying to steal the thread, but I do feel his pain (sort of). I've had mine for sale due to financial difficulty and finally have someone want to look at it. The guy drove from TN (close to Rotary Resurrection) to Charlotte, NC (where I am) to look at the car. Long story short, took him for a test drive, we swapped, he drove, we swapped back, I pulled out of the gas station, foot slipped off of the clutch due to a wet shoe (it was raining) she spun around and slammmed the driver's side into a small tree. So, I FEEL THE PAIN. Mine is repairable though.

Uh, no. I didn't stay long enough for a cop to show up. Started her back up and drove home swiftly. This will be out-of-pocket.

Make sure you buy it back from the insurance company. You can make alot more parting it out because they will sell it back for about 750.00 to 800.00. Dont let them sell it to the parts yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was just the door and rocker panel that got messed up

You mean the tire just popped? thats crazy considering how light the car is. Must have been original tires from 92-95 if the car only had 33k on it.
