1/4 mile trap speeds low...Why?

I need help in figuring out why my trap speed are so low. I have run a best 12.53 @ 109.17. My best trap speed has been 113.26. That was a cold night in January. My average trap speed is 108.48. There are alot of cars running 116 to 122 MPH. At this point I am looking for sugestions that may help my speed and eventually get me into the 11's on a non-ported engine.

Input apprectiated

It would be helpful if you could list your power mods separately as your sig is hard to wade through. Also, what boost level are you running at?

What are your 60' times?
Maybe you are getting ignition break up in the top end.

Tuning and hp. Your ETs are definitely good for that trap speed (if your best run listed is correct), but you're losing everything on the back half of the strip. First half of the strip is your launch and gearing, second half is your horsepower.

Also, lowering your tire pressure too low can get you good times but low trap speeds.

Here in NC I wouldn't dream of getting traction in January. But I would have to agree with poor tuning.

On stock 16" tires, how low is too low of air pressure. Last time I went to the track I lowered the pressure to 14psi. Is that to low?

Okay here are the answers to all the questions.

My 60' times are between 1.7XXX and 1.9XXX.
I am using my stock wheels with ET streets in back.
I am running 15 lbs. of boost.
The car was dynoed a year ago...341rwhp at 12lbs of boost. I need to go again a have it tuned
I am running 22 lbs of tire pressure.
I am ready to race Derrick my setup versus his 20B T66. I hope he gets traction or it could be a big upset. The last time we raced in January...his best time then, would not beat me today.

I guess it's time for tuning!!!!

Maybe, but I had excellent traction off the line with stock tires. Absolutly no wheel hop(launching at 3500 rpms. Next time I go to the strip, I may try to launch at a higher rpm( maybe 6k) to see what happens.

I never installed those tires. I bought a brand new pair of ET streets 2 weeks ago ($336 from discount tires).

Like I said I apologize they didn't go out on the 1st. I would never use a part (ie. tires) after they were sold!!!

I don't think you need tubes. I am not running tubes in mine. You can go to the Mickey Thompson web site for more info.

What's your boost doing?
What tires are you running up front and back?
How's your allignment?
What's your car weigh?
What kind of power are you laying down?
What gear and rpm are you in ad you pass the beam?

He's got an FD again and has been modding the hell out of it from what I've seen him post.
