stock wheels with BFG's or Nittos either one.

Do a big *** burn out till you have smoke at your window.

Tach it up to about 5000rpms

run about 15psi of tire pressure with the drag radials.

You should cut some 1.8x 60 foot times which will knock your ET down to about 12.2

Turn the boost up to about 1 bar and you'll be running 11's before you know it

If you get the BFG, its a odd size but they will fit. Its like a 255/50 or something like that.

TTT- you owe me to come up to Willow in February...trap speed was about 120mph in 4th gear due to the gearing....

BTW- I have some Kumho VictoRacers in 16" size if you want to buy them for your next run...they are slick and will stick!

why not just get ET streets which will yield better 60' time and easier on the suspension

Slicks are full slick, very soft and sticky compound once they are heated up. They also have a very soft sidewall to allow excellent bite and traction.
ET Streets are a very soft compound and are grooved, but they aren't as sticky as the full slicks. The grooves allow them to be rated as DOT legal to drive on public streets. And the sidewalls are also very similar to a full slick(acts like a slingshot when the tire begins to coil up upon acceleration)
Drag Radials are basically a radial tire with a one or two ply sidewall, this mimics a slick and et street somewhat, but the shorter sidewall doesn't give nearly as much, and thus isn't as effective at coil up. There is also a very soft highway compound road tire surface. Not as sticky as an ET Street, and not anywhere near as sticky as a full slick. But great for a daily driver that is going to do a little stop light charading.
Hope that clears it up a little.

That was a good run TTT, especially for your first trip to the track (and with bling bling wheels no less).

Don't worry about the reaction time. You could launch five minutes after the green light drops and you run the same E.T. as if you cut a perfect light. It has nothing to do with E.T. The timer starts when your front wheels roll out of the second staging beam.

Yea you can get some ET streets but they arent a street friendly as a drag radial. You can drive your drag radials just like any other tire, Dont get me wrong while you can drive them in the rain its by NO means anything close to a rain tire so be VERRYYYYY carefull if you get cought out in the rain with them. I wouldnt drive anywhere except maybe to the track on a set of ET streets.

I drove all week on a set of BFG's one time cause I was too lazy to take them off.

That is why I suggested Drag radials, you can drive them more (like to the street races lol )

Later,
STEPHEN

U mean holding the e-brake and slipping the clutch to build a little boost while sitting at the line???

The first time back to the track after I got my Mid pipe I broke my differential and had to be towed 2 hours to get home at like 1 AM. that was one of the worst experiences I ever had..

Sitting in the...reving it...Launching it only to move a few feet and hear a loud shroud and then...."Click..Click...Click".... And the roar of the crowed was nice too. They love to clap and laugh whent that happens.
