02 sensor reliability w/o module connection??...

I noticed my DP's 02 sensor's wire was disconnected from the female adapter side of the module that sits behind the UIM. It was not repairable, so I cut the male connection off and twisted the wires together (without the male/female module).

Will this/can this effect the accuracy of the reading going from 02 sensor into the ECU??

I've been running like that for couple of years without problems(from O2 sensor anyway...).

Put some electrical tape around the connection so it doesn't short to the dp or something else.

You'll be fine with out a connector, just add tape. Unfortunately most of my spliced connections are like this.
