[3] Possible A/C trouble (roaring at RPM)
[3] Possible A/C trouble (roaring at RPM)
Hi All,
I have an intake, downpipe, catback, Power FC, pulley kit and an eliminated smog pump for engine mods. I just had the engine replaced witha stock engine from Rotary Performance about 3k - 8k miles ago. The car has driven fine since I have had the new engine. Today I went out for a 30 minute stroll to the store. When I excellerate over 3500 RPMs I hear a roaring noise. It is only between about 4000 and 5500 I would say. It might get louder the higher I rev but I didn't want to incase there was an issue. If I turn the A/C off the roaring stops. I never noticed this before, but I recently had the pulley kit put on.
Aside from the roaring the A/C is working fine blowing cold air. I had the A/C compressor replaced about a year ago because it had a leak.
Any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks,
Joseph
