You probably have a bad slave cylinder. A rebuild kit from Mazda should fix it, and probably won't be too expensive. Don't buy an aftermarket kit (napa etc.)

well the clutch still comes back up.. do you think it could be the clutch isn't pulling enough tension.. is there is way to tighten the clutch cable... because well i step on the clutch all the way down and try to shift it into 1st .. it just feels like i'm not even step on the clutch and trying to shift it.. but i could still throw it into 2nd gear... but its just that it feels like i'm barely stepping on the clutch ... but once i start moving shifting it in to 3 adn 4 gear isn't a problem..

There's no clutch cable, it's hydraulic. It's possible you may have a broken clutch fork. Put your car on jackstands, remove the transmission access panel, and take a look at the clutch/clutch fork while somebody pushes the clutch in.

I would go for the slave cylinder first.

You can get a slave from Ray at Malloy Mazda cheap, around $70 I think. Try bleeding your clutch before you do anything, also check the clutch pedal adjustment nut, make sure it hasn't worked loose.

I have a similar problem with a NA 87, problem comes into play when it seems that the clutch is warmed up. car/engine has low miles... less than 50k do you think this would be similar to a bad slave cyl or bad clutch. After a short bit of driving its hard to get the car into gear, and also seems like the it is impropperly engaging before i let the clutch out. I just got this car and dont know where the bleed screw is, if this even sounds like a solutin to my issue
