I think you need a thread in the good guy bad guy section, and hopefully some adaptronic proficient members can help you with fixing the map.

Yeah, I agree. I'm just trying to get this out there. I'm paying a well known adaptronic tuner to help get it all sorted out. The engine is probably already toast and we're just trying to see is there are any more surprises. Not sure why this well known turbo seller is protecting this guy.

Sell the car back to him and go get all your money back or demand half of the money for the rebuild of the engine and tuning. $4k?

It's official the seller, xxxx, will NOT help with any costs of the disaster he sold me. I got a text recently that I've stirred up so much drama that he is distancing himself from me, that I've created from my own violation somehow?

PM me and I'll give you the story.

Net Seven,

Was the car sold from the forum's classified section or was it a private sale outside of the forum?

The car was sold outside the forums... so technically, its a violation per the forum rules...
But.... the seller is a pretty active and long standing member..

Jaiyuai,

Thank you for replying. That may be the case but I would like to hear that from Net Seven. My intention was not to offend you.

Yes, the car was sold outside this forum. He wanted to "keep the sale local" and only posted it on the AZ Facebook page. xxxx, buddies with xxxx, who built the engine.

I'm sorry to hear that your new purchase did not go as planned.

In all fairness, that sale hapened outside of the forum. As a result, please edit your posts to remove the seller's name and/or the engine builder's name.

No offense taken. The AZ rotary community is pretty small. I was once part of it from 2005-2009 when I lived in Phoenix. As I know both the seller and builder but not the buyer, I won't take anyone's side, since this is a business deal between them two.

As for some neutral advice for the buyer, if it's your intention to try to get some sort of reimbursement, then I would collect as much professional and technical written statements from Builders and tuners about your motor. If you build a case that misconduct and misinformation was made about the sale, then you may have something to use in a small claims court in your local jurisdiction.

I just moved from WA so you can contact people in WA if you would like to take "sides". I'm a U.S. Army Officer and do not lie.

Net Seven,

First, thank you for your service! Second, thank you for the edits. Third, I don't believe Jaiyurai inferred a lack of honesty to your experience. Since most of us have been around the forum for a long time, anyone of us would run out of fingers to count the number of times that people wish take sides because of loyalty to one party or the other. Lastly, have you taken your grievance to the AZ facebook page?

Again, I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience. Thank you for sharing with the forum.

I did post about it on the AZ page last night. The Seller has friends there. Apparently, I should expect bad compression on a rotary because it's a ticking time bomb.
