I don't know if it really has a proper name. Rear wheel aero trim?

The official Mazda part name is...wait for it.....

FD01-51-9B0B Spoiler, Right (RT)
and
FD01-51-9C0B Spoiler, Left (LT)

Unofficially, they are know and the Bob and Cob spoilers.

Unfortunately, Bob is no longer available.

Funny thing is I never see them on JDM 99 spec/later rx7s. Did they get rid of them at some point?

That's interesting if the JDM cars didn't have those wheel spoilers! All US cars had them regardless of trim level.

See ... this is what happens when an aero foil tries to be a spoiler.

I have owned an JDM R1 and a JDM R2. Neither had the wheel spoilers.

My 1995 R2 does not have them. It does have plastic caps over where the attachment holes presumably are. Looks like OEM placement. My car is a late build, maybe the last few were different.
