Use search.

No point in cheating out on a vmount. If you can't afford it, just get an FMIC and good ducting.

2k to go vmount installed is a great deal. theres a lot of relocating and deleting and modifying that goes into it. so yes, its a lot of work..... for 2k installed they are cutting you a HUGE deal

There are a few people running the kit. I haven't heard anything bad about it. You can install it with some basic tools on a weekend. It's not that hard.

For 2k you might as well spend a little more to get the GReddy and DIY.

for 2k i would do the Greddy, its a much nicer kit. or just get the HKS, its more $$ but it is the best looking thing you can put under the hood...

Just to clairify...... I think hes saying 2k installed. So that's the cost of the kit AND the labor to install it. If that's the case then it's a great deal. If its 2k for just the kit then the up charge is criminal and you need to escape this shop. if it's the kit only then yea, spend more, wait 36 months and get the greddy. You're basically half way there

I have no experience with them, but the 1st thing I usually do when considering buying parts for my RX-7 is do a search on this club. I did that with Rotarywerks and didn't exactly like what I found. SakeBomb's V-Mount kit is almost twice the price of that one and that's for parts only. I do have experience with those guys and they're definitely not ripping anyone off, which makes that 2 grand seem even more fishy to me.

Good Luck!

I had lucky7racing custom build my vmount. Kept my AC and cheaper than Greddy kit by a good margin.

Op,

At that price, and if you can wait, can coin it, and can roll up your sleeves ..just get the greedy kit or hks kit from Either rhdjapan or Nengun. They are tried and tested kits and used by all most shops in the US. The hks Kit has a shorter lead time than greddy. Greddy is typically 30-60 days. Customs charges are Negligible and both kits (single turbo versions) retail for about $2,200-$2,300 shipped. Stay away from the greddy full kit (Twins version - it costs quite a lot more and their cold air intakes are cheap and feel like molded tin foil). Everything else with the kit is very nice.

There are other US based shops selling In stock Kits at a premium. I Suggest you shop around because the price differences can be quiet a shocker. It all comes down to do you need to have it now or can you wait.

Hope this helps.

good luck to you.

I think it's important to clarify....

are you saying 2k for JUST the kit

or

is it 2k for the kit AND installation

Yeah, you are right. I just reread op’s initial note. He must mean 2k installed. My only concern would be the kits quality and has anyone ever tested how well it performs etc?

I recently came across this issue myself. I tried my hardest to find the cheapest route (even considered the Rotary Works Option), but eventually my engine baking itself decided to teach me a lesson. Save your money and buy the Greddy/HKS kit and you will NOT be disappointed. I ordered the HKS kit for ~$2500 shipped from RHDJapan. Don't even bother trying the US Vendors...they're gna rip your arm off.

I am a little late but, I would speak to Kilo Racing in Orlando area as they make beautiful custom jobs. I have seen it on 4 cars so far. If I wasn't stubborn I would be going v mount and I would go with Kilo's set up.
