Torsen question

Hi , I recently installed a new Torsen lsd ( 0 miles ) because I destroyed the original .
Now with both tires raised off the ground and in neutral , when I move one wheel the other does not move.
If I put the car in gear, when I move one forward the other moves backward.
It is normal ?
I don't remember very well but I think before the two tires were moving in the same direction .

For the wheels to move in the same direction, you'd need an LSD, a spool - or at least a welded up centre. Torsen acts as an open diff with a wheel (or two) off the ground.

That's normal operation - open diff if there is no resistance on 1 or both wheels.

Correct - the Torsen needs at least a little resistance to driveshaft torque on both wheels to begin to engage.

how did you break it? and who set the new one up? I'm looking to install 4.44 gears on mine
