You all are just butt hurt he's doing better than you all combined. I don't think a non car enthusiast would buy a Ferrari and Lamborghini to what? Pretend to be a car guy. Must be that time of the month for y'all

originally it bothered me to see these guys stripping and throwing away so many what seemed to be decent parts. the car ended up turning out nice though, just goes to show what an unlimited budget, dozens of sponsors from around the world and endless skilled hands can produce.

A very ignorant and immature comment.
you have no idea..! No one here is looking up to be mr. Hunt by any means,. I don't need to know the guy either. I just like when people get their hands durty and **** up in the learning process. Anybody can buy a body kit, or any part for that matter and have someone else to put it on.
if he makes you so happy that you need to post here to make you or him feel so important, so be it.. I hope he gives you a sticker or shirt or something to make you sleep better at night..
What a joke...! I am not going to lie , its hilarious...

I know one thing, he claimed his dyno was 485hp and ran numerous 12 second ET's @ no better then 116mph. Getting beat by an S-15 motor swapped miata every time. The car was misfiring in every gear going through the passes...
Yes the car looks great, very tasteful, but the turbo build and tune is monkey buisness, with that Garrett junk snail coming on at 5k rpm.
I know of several fd's using stock twins that will drag that car all the way down the 1/4 mile.
if you have such a strong youtube channel , you better have your finished product up to standards before you throw up videos all for the purpose of racking up views to keep the channel profitable.

I'm just reading this now. TJ hunt 4 lyfe... bahahaha, some funny sh*t right there haha. These guys make me cringe. I remember Rob Dahm hitting the track up with one of his cars, can't remember which, but when he got on the track a piece of wood fell out of his bumper LOL!!! And you could see a few bits of Chinese hardware scattered on the track... you know that white metal **** LOL. Oh man, A PIECE OF WOOD. I still laugh out loud when I think about it. Yet he's revered as a rotary god. These days it's more important to look like you know what you're doing than to actually know what you are doing. And editing, I mean where would these guys be without editing?

Most of these guys are all about creating the Youtube persona and don’t know too much more than the average Joe about cars. They just write down regurgitate lines from their mechanics and tuners.
A youtube channel with a real car guy would be pretty boring to watch. Lots of talking to himself, busting knuckles, cursing, searching for a 10mm socket, multiple trips to the car store and countless hours on the forms. After all that, who has the energy to stop every 5 mins and record a 2 minute spiel about how the part did or didn’t install as planned.

haha Alkymist just saw this randomly. Are you saying that a piece of wood is the pinnacle of my adventures? That was from a neighbor who made the front splitter out of the kindness of his heart because he loved working on kevlar and wanted to help me somehow. He made wood with steel inserts to clamp the splitter to the bumper. Im still very thankful for the effort he put into it.
Besides, the 3 rotor show my love for beating the absolute **** out of used parts. The 4 rotor is the exact opposite build mentality. I love both approaches. haha

I personally don't feel that you and Hunt have anything in common. I mean this kid is ripping out interior parts out of a 3rd gen Rx-7s by hand(shakes head) and has very little involvement in anything technical. He also gives you an exposition of everything he's literally going to think about between point A and point B. He's actually hard to watch. So when I said "these guys" that was uncalled for that and I apologize.
You have some solid videos man and I enjoy some of your content. I like the way you yourself are still learning and are not scared to admit to making mistakes. These are the qualities of a true rotor head. Having said that, you kinda just rolled your neighbour under the bus haha.
Something in this thread or maybe a video I watched while investigating this Hunt character reminded me of that piece of wood falling out of your car and it just made me laugh man. It seemed relevant to the thread. I hope you can appreciate that.
I mean, I'm sure you're well versed in how haters be hatin and how you simply can't please everyone so take it all with a grain of salt.
Good luck with the aluminum build.
