Tail light pin removal

Anyone know how to get these things off without destroying the plastic?

From behind... don't remove them unless you're replacing them.

Haven't checked for 3 or 4 years, quite a few of the expanding rear light plastic mounting lugs were NLA.....I'd leave well enough alone and just mask them if this is a repaint.

Dang. Was thinking the paintless dent repair could use that hole for the rear quarter.

Couldn't imagine getting much of a tool in the hole! The wiring grommet or the side reflector aperture would give superior access for quarter repair.Tail light pin removal-slj61od.jpg

There is a piece of metal in the way from that wiring hole to the fender. It's a no go in that hole.

The metal immediately inside the hatch near the grommet hole?

It's not continuous and has a larger hole further forward. Should be behind the side trim in a stock car and allows limited access to the outer skin.....still not big, but miles better than trying to work through a keyhole.

Cool. Sounds like I have to take out all of the trunk trim to get to that. Will give it a shot and thanks!

I think E04 is the jigger. I know some of the ones that went in vertically, either for the centre array or the blinkers weren't available last check - was expecting the stocking situation to have deteriorated since.
