Starter-alarm solenoid

Several weeks ago DaleClark helped with advice for solving the intermittent no-start condition in my 93 FD. It left me sit and I replaced the starter and the clutch depressed switch and thought that cured the problem. However, it still does not engage the starter on a somewhat regular basis. DaleClark suggested the solenoid at the left of the driver's kick panel was the problem and suggested jumping the wires. I will do so until I get the new solenoid, but want to make sure I have the correct solenoid and correct wires. Can someone comment before I choose the wrong wires and make things worse? RA

which is the starter-alarm relay?

starter cut out solenoid

I did the jumper wire fix today and it works. Interesting thing......... The car started yesterday and re-started twice, then would not start. I waited overnight and today, after approx. 18 hours the car started once, then would not start. It did this same performance several weeks ago when I was checking starting function after changing the starter, starter solenoid and clutch depressed switch. Is there a re-set function in the alarm that re-sets the alarm after a period of time? Just curious. I have a replacement cut out solenoid on order and will install it- but keep the jumper wire in the glove box, just in case.
