I wonder how they will look on a U.S.-Spec 7. I hope they look good cause BBS RX's arent that pricey, but I always thought they looked a little "Euro" for a Jap supercar.

Nice, nevertheless!

Some guy here has a silver 3rd gen with all the spirit R badges and accessories on the exterior...very awesome...those rims look pretty sweet in person too...they look great on silver but I am not sure how they would look on red. I think on silver and maybe black they are good....I actually like the cap

Can anyone confirm that the Spirit R rims are really BBS RX's? They look exactly the same, but the BBS rims are only available in 17x8" and the Spirit R rims are 17X8"F and 17x8.5"R. The RX's also aren't that light, 22lbs, maybe the Mazda versions are lighter? From Mazda they are ridiculously expensive, almost $4000 a set, but BBS RX's can be had for $1200 a set.

I can think of about 20 aftermarket wheels I'd rather have.... $4k for those... you've GOT to be kidding me.

Give me a set of HRE's, Volks, SSRs, Work's, Blitz's, etc...

And I'll get something larger/wider than 17x8.5s.... and I'd have money left over for tires.

Of course they are expensive...they are OEM Mazda Japan rims. But for the money you could get Volks.

It just like when you buy a car and the CD deck option is like $600 bucks.....uh for $600 you could get a WAY better Alpine, Clarion.....etc.

If you go to Mazda's Spirit R web page it says "Special BBS Made wheels" Most BBS wheels have that mesh style. They are most likely a special offset/finish made by BBS for the car. The reason they cost soo much is that everything costs a billion from the manufacrturer I.E. Mazda, in this case.

I dont think they have the extreme offset that aftermarket rims have so not quite as wide a stance., although I bet they're lighter.

Thanks for the great info!

I didn't realise how sought after the Spirit R wheels are. I actually have these genuine rims on my Spirit R (completely unmarked, as new), but I don't really like them! I suppose "the grass is always greener on the other side"

Does anyone know what's the lowest offset rim I could fit under my stock guards? At most, I would only want to roll the guards.
