I just watched a clip on YOUTUBE of a small rotary engine with a clear front plate running in slow motion
I don't know how to link or post clips on here maybe someone can link said clip
Just go to YOUTUBE and type in

I just saw this and was about to post it too. Pretty cool. I guess we all watch a lot of rotary related videos on YouTube so that popped up

I love how this engine sounds like...well, a rotary. Same snarl, a tiny little 787B type of sound.

That dude was brave (and stupid) using the string method to start the engine, easy way to get a finger ripped off or severely injured. In the R/C world we have electric starter mechanisms for this. Still, too cool what he did, loved the video.

Things that really caught my attention were how if it ignites too early it wants to rotate backwards and how the flame never gets to the trailing corner. Makes me want to see how Mazda's 2 or 3 sparkplug ignition solution looks.

He says this is the first of a series so he plans on featuring various rotaries, I subscribed just for that!
