Seat Belt Straps for OEM Seats

Hello!
How many people would be interested in getting the lower section of the seat belt strap in aluminium?
I had broken straps on my seats and was searching for new ones but was not able to find them, so I decided to get the lower plastic thingy made in aluminium and re use all the old stuff with the aluminium strap holder.

The seat covers will need to be removed to install the new aluminium part. Removal is easy once you gain access to the area where the washers are, Just pop them out with a flat head screwdriver and re use them.

Uploading pictures in a bit, they are still in prototype stage.

Interesting... I've never had one break on me (maybe I'm lucky). Although a few have faded.

Are these the same as the Spirit-R / RZ Recarco pieces? Because if they are, I believe they are still available new from Mazda for around $50 complete with straps and the "other" side.

Yes, new are available from Mazda and also on RHD Japan for ¥5,389.
The oem plastic ones are very fragile and are prone to crack or break over time. I could have gotten new ones but then if it breaks again removing the seat covers is a lengthy process.

However the Aluminium ones which I'm making will definitely last longer.

All the seat belt straps on OEM Leather, Fabric and Spirit R/RZ seats are the same.

I should be able to use the clips I removed from the plastic piece with these. Will keep you guys posted once I have finished the first pair of these on my seats.

I have been using them for a week now and they are much better then the OEM Plastics which crack easily. Right now I'm confused at what price to sell them. Shipping would be around $30 per pair worldwide.

P.s: The ones on my car car were finished in a hurry and the finish could have been better.

Definitely interested. Would you mind posting the part numbers for the JDM straps and mounts?

Thanks,
Justin
