RX7store midpipe QUIET PLEASE

So I had this midpipe for awhile and decided to install. So many people have so many different opinions on these things so I wanted to share my own experience so far with only about 25 miles driven.
1. Quiet. Very quiet. This is quieter than my Pettit Hiflow cat with 1000 miles on it or less. I have a Pettit DP and an RB dual tip catback.

2. Boost does creep. Supposedly my wg is ported a bit by Pettit. I was spiked at about 12.8 psi before and held a solid 12.5 with cat up to redline. This is where I had it set and wanted it to be for now. .94 (13.6psi) @ WOT in 3rd before I let off gas. That was at 6234 rpm. No idea where it would have stopped. I am on the stock 2 bar map sensor so I am not going over 14..... some say it is good till 16 others say not reliable after 14psi so why push it. Maybe she would have stopped, maybe she would have kept climbing. No idea. I turned the controller all the way down (manual ****) and she will still hit 12.5+psi after a bit so I assume she would keep going.

3. Smell. Not too bad. No worse than my hi flow to be honest and that is at 12.0 afr. My wife did say I smelled a little like oil when I came in

4. Smoke. I premix and possibly have a little too much mix in. It does smoke. It does not smoke with cat. After a couple days of sitting it will give a tiny puff on start up, but that's it. Maybe the gaskets are burning in or something?

I will see how it goes for a little while and decide wether or not to put cat back on.

They do a great job quieting down the rotary and take out a lot of the raspiness. Are you running 12.0 afr at wide open throttle? If so you need to richen it up. We tune for 10.9-11.1 in most cases.

Sorry if you wrote it down somewhere and I missed it but is this a resonated MP?

Yep, the boost controller isn't going to do anything for your boost creep.

My old setup with PFS SMIC, M2 CAI, PFC ECU, stock nonported nonsequential twins, mild streetport, DP, resonated MP, racing beat catback had boost creep to 12 psi. Actually it was 12ish IIRC. Noting that I was tuned well past that level but I did have stock injectors at the time, I was below 85% injector duty cycle and therefore never paid it no mind.

Yes it is a resonated mid pipe with no cat.

Thanks for answering. Yep a resonated MP makes a huge difference over non-resonated ones (it's obvious but still I wanted to make sure of what you had).

If it were me, I would either port the wastegate (more in your case?) or put back the Hi-flow cat. I know how I am and having to mute myself at WOT defeats the whole purpose of a performance mod. Well, at least for me it does.
