RX-7 Skyline Drive Video

Evening Members!

I wanted to share a time lapse video of my FD running along the entire length (105mi) of Skyline Drive. Both man and machine endured a 12hr day that covered 500mi round trip. It took me 3hrs to drive through Shenandoah National Park. However, the video compresses that 3hrs of driving into 9mins of view time. I had a lot of fun driving the course! There are more details about the video in its description so please check it out as well. Thanks in advance for watching!

Cheers,
George

Are there other recommended drives to experience in Virginia?

Cheers,

Man... You guys who live near the mountains have the dream. In the midwest we get excited for what you wouldn't even consider a foot hill.

BLKFD3 & Spirit-RE,

Thank you both for the compliments. The drive through this park was great; scenic views and mild weather made that trip very enjoyable! Similar to Spirit-RE's mid-west, the Tidewater area of VA is not very mountainous; maybe a few rolling hills.

Overall, the time spent in my FD was 12hrs for the round trip. It was about 3.5hrs to reach the Rockfish Gap entrance, another 3hrs to drive through Shenandoah National Park, and 4-5hrs (thanks to I-95 evening traffic near Quantico) on the return leg from Front Royal to Va Beach.

BLKFD, have you driven the Blue Ridge Parkway before? That is next on my Spring event drives.

Cheers,
George

For those of you who enjoyed the Skyline Drive video, I made another video a few weeks later. It is a set of 3 videos that captured a short drive along Colonial Parkway. This National Parks road stretches between Yorktown, VA and Jamestown, VA. The thread for these videos is found here: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-gen-gene...ng-fd-1120300/.

There is more info in each video's description. Thank you in advance for watching them!

Cheers,
George

I have! although not in my FD sadly. I was much younger when I had time to just go without thinking. I live in the Fredericksburg area so I am right in the middle of the beach and the mountains.
