I saw that Pride is making a carbon/kevlar replica of the RX-7 RZ seats for their NSX customers. Has anyone tried these seats in their FD? They look nice and the price is good compared to a genuine set of RZ seats.

Look nice but seem way too cheap to be anything of any quality. One thing to remember is God forbid you get into an accident, a cheap seat can fail and render the seatbelts unable to do their job. Not worth the risk to me. Also the RX-7 specific spirit r/rz seats are contoured to fit the interior. Many aftermarket seats will rub the door panels.

 

Yeah, we've been burned before on something like this. Safety equipment (harnesses, brakes, seats) is best left to businesses that can actually achieve certification or have a sterling reputation.

 

The NA2 NSX-R had factory kevlar Recaro's as well. Best thing to ever come out of Jp, RZ is a close 2nd imo.
