Is your company able to get any better resolution on the registrations - like state to state?

Wow, thats great. If you don't mind me asking what system is it pulling the info from? insurance company, DMV, etc?
As far as I know just North America, but I could get Canada as well.
I honestly don't know how the system really pulls the information, but if you google Polk Automotive that what the program is.

I live in Central FL. N. Osceola / S Orange County. I have seen at least 9 different fds. You can even get some parts at the auto parts store without having to order them. We are also home to Kilo Racing so that might explain somethings. I own a 93 and it has not been registered since 2005. Going to Kilo Racing soon so 2016 add one more.
So, we've lost more than one third of these cars in the past 8 or 9 years since the table in the original post. That's a damn shame.

1993, I'm not sure what FD this was as it had an aftermarket moonroof ( they cut a hole in the roof and put some crappy moonroof on it , But the wiring to siad moonroof was also not OEM , and because its a rebuilt tittle MAZDA has no info on the VIN .

Well you can add one to the Rebuilt tittle section I resurrected This car after a fire had taken it from the PO

To summarize:
2005, October: 9796
2007, January: 9340
2011, mid?: 8070
2014, mid: 6095
That does seem like a rather hefty decline in the three years from 2011 to 2014 (2000 units, 2 per day, or 25% overall decline). In previous years it seemed to be about half that attrition rate.
Apart from gracer7-rx7's FD and mine (which has been sitting on jacks in my garage for 2 years [soon to be rectified]), I have only seen 2 FDs in the wild in the past year here in the SF Bay Area - so they are definitely becoming a rare beast.

Theft recovered....at least that's what I'm saying it is, DMV has no clue and nothing pops up on Carfax. Came from Vegas and has been sitting for 10+ yrs unused and unregistered with 34k on the clock. Engine was removed for an LS swap....good thing I stopped that lol!
