No it’s one of either two things I think. Either N3G1 supersedes N3YC. Or it could be that N3YC is for earlier cars which have an oil pressure sensor take off and N3G1 is for 1999- cars which do not.
92-95 catalogs list a manual rear plate as either N3YC or N3YA. The 1999- catalogs list N3G1 so my suspicion is the oil pressure sensor take off.
I just bought an N3G1 for a customer last week so I’ll compare it to another early iron in a bit
