My original plan was for all my intercooler pipes to be purple, however after custom fabrication there was no time to paint the last two before 7's Day so they were installed in polished aluminium.
Question is do I keep the polished look or add more purple?
There was lots of discussion and opinion at 7's day and the consensus was that either would look great.
purple. Looks kind of out of place in the middle. Especially with the screw coloring, I would finish the intake piping, intercooler piping and even intercooler...Just an opinion of course.

Painting them purple will make the pipes "flow" better vs looking disjointed (and who wouldn't want to add more purple to this car!).
Whereas the other view is that the polished sections contrast the purple and make it pop by preventing the engine bay becoming too dark......
I get what people are saying about it looking out of place but I really like the contrast of the polished pipes.
If anything you should find other items to polish. Not ones that already purple but items such as pulleys or even a strut bar where the center piece is purple but the sides are polished (that way it is glaringly obvious that is your color scheme).
I retract my vote.... Purple pipes & air filters but with polished: clamps, alternator, BOV, AST, intake piping. But I will still stick with the dual strut bar idea (polished sides and center frame purple or vice versa)
