Poll - Help me decide - '93 VR Twin Turbo Base vs. '94 CW Single Turbo Touring
Okay I need the forums help. Please read this carefully.. valuable input requested.
I am considering off-loading one of my 7s for a Single Turbo MKIV Supra (6 speed) this season. However, there are some hard choices to make in my mind.
For me, color is not an issue. An FD, is an FD, is an FD. What counts is the ownership history, condition and mileage. I also prefer the hardtop 7s.
In other words, at the end of the day (5-10 years from now) which would be more valuable in your eyes.
Please let me know what route you think is best after you read the general info below.
1993 Vintage Red Twin Turbo, 5-speed, Base with Tan Leather Interior (Optioned at purchase)
New Mazda Engine (49,500 Miles on chassis, with less than 2,500 miles on engine - 1.5 years old)
Tuned to 320 RWHP on OEM Turbos and Power FC (Dave KDR/Speed 1)
New Greddy V-Mount with HKS RS Intakes
Killer Kenwood Stereo Install
All New Suspension, New Clutch etc... all redone.
Stock Fuel setup with Supra Denso Pump
Sake Bomb Dual 19" Setrab Oil Cooler Kit
ABS, AC, and Power Steering
HKS Exhaust
Oem and Shine Feed Replica Hood
Enkei 18" Wheels
Original Paint - Very Good/Excellent Condition (9/10)
I am the 3rd Owner, PA Car
Clean Title and Carfax.
1994 Chaste White OEM Single Turbo (Precision Turbo 6766), 5-speed, Touring with Black Leather Interior
2nd Rebuild Aggresive Street Port by RPM (91,400 Miles on chassis, with less than 800 miles on engine - 6 months old)
Prior Tune netted 470 RWHP on a PT6766 and Power FC (Dave KDR/Speed 1)
Vibrant FMIC and Koyo Rad with Turbonetics Guard
Bose Acoustic Wave Stereo - in poor shape
Tein Suspension, Clutch etc... can't vouch for age of parts.
Racing Tank with Sump Pump, KG fuel rails, Bosch and RC injectors and dual upgraded steel braided Fuel lines with externally mounted Dual Bosch 044 pumps
Oem Single Oil Cooler
No ABS, No AC, No Power Steering
Blitz BUR Spec Exhaust
Oem Hood
Volk GT-C 18" Wheels
Repainted car - Decent Condition (6-7/10) - Could use a ground-up repaint. (I am picky)
I am the 6th Owner, NYC Car - now in PA.
Clean Title and Carfax.
Options I have are:
A) Keep both forget about the Supra
B) Sell the 1993 VR, Keep the 1994 CW and buy a Supra
C) Sell the 1994 CW, Keep the 1993 VR (mod a few bits when I feel it...BNR or Single later) and buy a Supra
D) Sell the 1994 CW as a shell, remove the drivetrain for the VR later. (Short Block and Turbo Setup Only)
E) Keep both, ...sell your first born child and get a Supra
There it is... please vote. Comments welcome, pricing thoughts welcome also.

I'd keep both and forget about the Supra.
If I had to choose between the 2, with the mindset of what I'll enjoy more 5-10 years from now, and ignoring color, I'd take the stock one. The single turbo looks awesome, but no ABS, power steering etc.... gets old if it's mainly street driven.
Best of both worlds, swap the single turbo and mods to your stockish one but keep the creature comforts.

The red one is definitely the keeper.
Have you driven a MkIV Supra?

Not the company
Keep the red one whatever you do; lower mileage on chassis and original paint with OEM turbo's. Def. better in the long run for potential resale value as these get rarer and harder to find with low miles.

VRs seem to be the step child on the forum so I am finding this feedback to be an eye-opener.
I should mention that the VR has new Koni yellow adjustables on Tien h-tech springs. Also new Enkei’s pf01 evos - Rides like a dream.
If I was skipping Supra then both FDs get the royal treatment and stay in the stable!

Plus the expected power at tuning would have tipped everyone that way.

Whatever you do with the CW and a Supra, keep the VR.
