has anybody else noticed how it seems quite a few of the FD's (even alot of mazdas) out there have a different shade of paint on the bumpers when compared to the fenders and hood..?

would this be the result of the material difference, the different textures that the plastic bumpers have compared to the metal fenders hoods...

or am I just off my rocker..

one example is RX7 RAGE pic that was in the 2011 FD calender... the bumper is clearly a different shade then the rest of the car...

I love how RAGE's car represents all of the VR's with such class.... yet I feel the difference in shades is so utterly distracting, for lack of a better term...

is this the result of poor prepping, not prepping to exceedingly high standards, or just lackluster quality control on Mazdas part...

/end rant, question

Its repainted bumpers and 99 bumpers being painted by shops that dont know how to blend or color match properly. I've had the same problem with my car and it pisses me off everyday. Shops just cant match colors anymore it seems.

I even noticed it on the Rx-8 Spirit R pictures (not as badly though) either that, or it was an miata behind it, and it was terrible how different the shades were...

I don't have the picture, but I scene it, and it just looked so bad, brand new car, and quite a noticeable change in color, and for a brand new car, I thought it was unacceptable, but that's me

^ Wow that is crazy!

Having actually tried to mod an A/C panel myself, I can tell you that is some seriously tough work to do, excellent job!

Why did you sell the MB if you don't mind me asking, I was going to buy that one before I decided to go with the BB instead.

I sold the MB because my friend totalled his 240sx and he wanted an fd. I got what i had in it and i found the white. I mean 533 chaste white cars produced in america vs the tons and tons of MB ones that ive seen. Ive yet to see another original CW. And i love white cars for some reason.

Here's a pic from last Saturday, Porsche Car Control clinic at El Toro airfield. I'm on the (wet) skidpad If you guys have never done something like this, I highly recommend it. Had a blast and learned a whole lot about car control. Only crappy thing is... your car gets filthy... I had to wash it twice yesterday just to get all the **** off.
