Agreed. Much better than the ugly-as-hell drift-style body kits (like the ones that flare out at the bottom) that are usually on them. If I ever get another S13 it'll have that kit, if any.

From the look on your face, I could guess what you did with the car later that night. Poor car. lol

that nissan engine is clearly the JDM Nissan Silvia SR20DET S13 Redtop Motor
this is the engine most people with 240's drop in. definite downgrade compared to the 13b-rew.
i always did want to see someone drop the skyline inline6 into a 7, completely shocked someone actually bother dropping in the 4cyc sr20.

Phrost: Unfortunately you are incorrect the engine was a CA18DET. The JDM engine that came in 240s prior to the SR20DET being released. A 1.8 4cyl, and of course I am not keeping it. I already have an REW in there that I can't get to run right.

As for your opinion on the SR20 I have to totally disagree, SR20s are awesome engines, but I'm not gonna get into the engine vs other engine dispute. RX7s were engineered with the rotary so thats what I'm sticking with no matter how much of a headache we all go thru at times...

^ hope you get the rotary running right.
as for my comment on the sr20det, i think its an amazing motor for what it is, but i don't feel like any 4cyc would be a worth while custom swap for an rx7.
tbh im not a fan of any piston swaps in a rotary, but i can definitely see why people drop v8's and supra inline 6's in the 7. the major reason why i dont like piston swaps into the 7 is because they usually jack up the handling of the 7.

Also, while I prefer to stay rotary, I don't see why a properly tuned 4cyl couldn't do the car justice - but I don't wanna get into that dispute either.

Good to hear ya swapped back to the REW BoriDori. Hope you get it figured out!

while i hate piston swaps in the fd, i will say the ls (v8) swaps dont really effect the handeling. the aluminum block, with a cast iron crank keeps the center of gravity low, just like the 13b. it may be a bit higher but not by much. also for the displacement, its rather light.
